Connecting Windsor-Essex supplies Internet connectivity to over 200 locations in the Windsor-Essex region. With the recent announcement from SWIFT, the possibilities of improving and extending fibre access to rural areas are greater than ever before. An Internet exchange point (IX or IXP) is a physical infrastructure through which multiple networks can connect and share resources. CWE will be host to WEDIX, which serves to improve internet services by keeping local traffic local, in turn improving security and reducing latency.
